God this forum sucks now. The combine used to be a hot thread on here, but now nobody even started a thread yet.

For the QBs;
Locker ran a 4.59 (def. not a 4.39 like some claimed he ran before haha)
Newton ran a 4.59 too, but had a 10'6 broad jump and a ****ING NUTS 35" vertical.
Tyrod Taylor was the fastest QB there, running a 4.51 40 and a 10'6 broad.

The RBs had some SUPER speed;
Maryland RB Du'rel Scott has the fastest time so far, running a 4.35
Mark Ingram was not fast, a 4.58, but we knew he wasnt fast and will not be drafted cause of his speed.
VT's Darren Evans ran a respectable 4.56 for a big back.
Auburn's Mario Fannin is FAST AS HELL too, but we knew that (well SEC guys knew that), he ran a 4.37
Noel Devine did not run, he may be in that range too
Mikael LeShore was not as fast as I expected, a 4.56
Neither was Dion Lewin, who ran a mild 4.57
UK speedster Derrick Locke had a great showing, running a 4.46
DeMarco Murray, likely the 2nd back taken behind MI, ran a 4.38. Read that again, a big back like Murray ran a 4.38 Im saying it now, he will be an All-Pro
UConn Jordan Toddman was great as well, running a 4.44. Im a big fan of his as well.

The WRs were fun;
AJ Green ran a good 4.50 with 18 bench press reps, a 34.5 vertical leap and a 10'6 broad jump
Leonard Hankerson continues to shoot up draft boards, with a 4.43 40
UKs Randall Cobb showed his wheels with a 4.46
but JULIO JONES! WOW. He ran a 4.39 40, had 17 reps, 11'3 broad and a 38.5 vertical. Not quite Calvin but its pretty **** impressive. He is now a top 10 pick for sure.

and hey guys, remember this name. DeAndre Brown. Some may remember the 5* prospect comin outta HS that went to Southern Miss. Well he had many problems, with injuries and other things, but this kid is a freak. His 40 wasnt super fast, 4.50, but he had 20 reps and has awesome ball skills.
Jon Baldwin at Pitt is almost a mirror image with more hype. Both ran a 4.50 40 and had 20 reps.

I havent saw as much press on the combine in general lately. I really think it stems from the labor issues though.

And I completely agree with you on Murray.

Another guy that will be overlooked but I think is just a winner and will do well in the NFL is Jeff Maehel, I think that's how you spell it. He won't be flashy, won't blind you with his speed but he is just a winner.
